Franklin Academy

I gave Franklin Academy 2 years with my son. It was the most awful mistake. Please DO NOT make the mistake of sending your High School student here! Please read these reviews! They are either horrible, or they are glorious and filled with praise, and I think we all know a b.s. review when we see one. Issues at Franklin are indescribably bad. There is NO communication with teachers. Huge teacher turnover, especially in critical subjects like English and Math. Your child WILL be lost. And worse – there is no place for him/her to go. Their grades will drop, and you won’t even be called. On the basis of low grades, they will tell your child she/he can’t go to an after school activity , but they will not so much as offer tutoring help. I have never seen a more ACADEMICALLY DEFICIENT school than Franklin Academy. Do not be deceived by the pretty buildings. These people are NOT EDUCATORS, and it shows!
There are only 4 years of high school and your child needs to learn a lot during those years. Franklin cannot help them with that. I pulled my son out at the end of last year. This year, they started taking K-5!! That is crazy considering how poorly they were doing with middle and high school. High schoolers here are treated horribly. The children, in general, are ignored, lied to and / or disrespected by the teachers. And I’m sure it’s much worse this year now that high school is pushed into a smaller area. Your child needs the benefit of a real high school. Please do not waste their time here.

I am going to give my honest opinion about this school and I’m not trying to be disrespectful. Ever since they added elementary the school has been very different, we are not allowed to use certain stairwells, which makes the hallways more crowded, and it can get pretty difficult to get on time to class when you have to get past through so many people in the halls. Some of the staff or guards are to authoritative and controlling as well and it can get very irritating , especially when they yell. But im not trying to be disrespectful in any way, everyone should have their own opinion, and they should be able to voice it

My daughter has been at Franklin Academy K-12 since it opened its doors. We recommend it for all the grades. Administration, faculty and staff are very polite and always willing to help us. The indoor gym is incredible as well as the outdoor track and field. The nurse is the best. I have been a volunteer in all the departments for more than five years and can say without a doubt that the students are getting the best a school can offer.

I loved the teachers they we’re very nice and welcoming and helped me understand the material. The staff was also great they we’re strict but nice . The school was kept in good shape and condition.
