Heron 2 – Vacation Village

Stayed in Heron 2 with a nice view of the pool. This complex is very spread out and most activities and amenities are located at the main pool, a mile away. Pool was well maintained. Unit is tired looking and dated, not very clean. No dish towels or washer/dryer in unit. This isn’t as nice as what we’ve come to expect from Vacation Village. Beaches are about 30 minutes away, so you do need a car. This resort is in a very quiet, lovely residential area and Weston is a very nice, small town with great restaurants. Close to Sawgrass Mills Mall.

Large condo unit but could use some updating. Very far from beach (30 minutes by car)so car is needed. There is a shuttle bus but you must call for it so you will wait to not go more than 3 miles. Larger units have balcony which we used a lot. Strangely they gave us no sample shampoo or conditioner– such a little item would make the place more upscale. Pool next to building ok, but walk one building over for far better pool. Has cornhole and pingpong by pool which we used often.

I visit this resort frequently. Customer service has gotten to the point where I would use the words: arrogant, not caring, obnoxious and rude. Not an easy thing for me to state because of my history of past enjoyment at this resort.

Awesome resort. Clean and up to date. Great location. Minutes from everything we wanted to do. Will definately be back

Great for families… not so great if you are interested in a party atmosphere.. lovely property… tip… provide your own transportation don’t rely on their shuttle system…. its nonexistent
